For this year my goal is to be happy.
Simple right?
I figure that in order to be happy I need to feel happy.
And in order to feel happy I need to do the things that make me happy.
Things that make me feel happy all the time: My family, long walks with my doggy, good food, great books, a clean house, sunshine, music.
But I also feel happy when I clean the house so that it is no longer messy.
I feel happy when I go to bed early even though I want the time to read or knit.
I feel happy when I am grateful that my family is healthy and thriving instead of dwelling on the kiddos' squabbling.
This morning I even felt happy when I paid the bills because it meant I could cross it off my to-do list.
This year I hope to choose to feel happy as much as possible. I plan to count my blessings each day.
