The weather is warm. The sun is out. And I have barely seen the inside of my house this week.
Outside there has been chalk.
Rock skipping.
Car climbing.
And many, many walks.
Inside it's been quiet. I've been running errands, attending meetings, volunteering at school, driving to the orthodontist, preparing taxes, planning two birthday parties, and shopping for groceries - twice. The highlight of my morning was the thirty minutes I spent knitting with one of the mama's that I volunteer with - she's a new knitter but she's fast and her stitches are so even that I will be helping her cast on for her first sweater next week. So very exciting.
Then home for a quick lunch (I had toast and avocado too) and off to assess the damage in my abandoned sewing space.
I cut the fabric for another apron.
And I browsed through my favorite quilt books for inspiration on piecing this fabric.
Finally, I cut lots of this yummy home decor weight fabric in preparation for sewing birthday gifts for my boys. If all goes as planned I will be sharing a tutorial for this super easy and quick project soon.
Just to let you know, Kathy of Pink Chalk Fabrics is offering 50% off many home decor fabrics.
What fun! It looks like you're making the best use possible of the nice weather you've been having.

isn't it great to get outside? I'm loving this warmer weather and sunshine. How fun that you've found a real live knitter to knit with...I'm sure you'll be a source of blessing and help to her. Love your apron fabrics and can't wait to see what you're doing with all those delicious home dec fabrics.

Much of the same going on here. The weather has been beautiful here, too. They are promising lots of rain for this weekend and I am hoping to get some projects completed indoors.
I was not good with leaving my kids alone for a very long time. They are older now, 16 & 12 and it is getting a bit better. I never really liked to leave them with sitters either. It is so hard. We had many quiet dinners alone-after the kids were in bed.
