Without further adieu, my Francis sweater.
The brilliance of this pattern is that it is a simple top-down sweater that can be customized to fit anyone's shape or style.
I pretty much followed the pattern but I substituted 2 x 2 ribbing on the cuffs, hem and cowl rather than the seed stitch recommended in the pattern. I did not do any increases in the cowl but I did go up one needle size for the final three inches. And I knit long sleeves because 28 degrees is cold.
Styling inspired by Katie over at Philigry who posted her version of the Francis sweater this morning.
Pattern: Francis
Yarn: Queensland Collection Rustic Wool, Color 01 Sand (750 yards)
Needles: US size 8 & 9
Mods: long sleeves. 2x2 ribbing rather than seed stitch on sleeves, hem and cowl edging. only 4 rows of 2x2 ribbing on cowl. knit the cowl straight without the increases but I switched to sz 9 needle for the final three inches.
This is a great pattern. Go ahead and knit one using your favorite yarn. Just be sure you check your gauge first.
An amazing knitter and a model too! That is my kind of sweater. I love the sleeves. They're gorgeous. (And what happened to all of your snow? Here in NYS it hasn't stopped snowing since Saturday).

Great job! (I'm on my mil's computer checking out what's going on...my computer is corrupted and I can't even get it to turn on! stink!)

Well, I am partial to Francis, being that it is my husband's name.
But you look WAY better in boots than he does.
You did a beautiful job. It's a great color.
