The first night. Songs were sung. Candles were lit. Dreidles were spun. Gifts were opened. Donuts were consumed. Everyone went to bed an hour past bedtime. Many more gifts need to be finished and gifted. But my kiddos are happy. And tonight nothing else matters.
Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating tonight. Happy weekend to those preparing for the holidays to come. Heck, just be happy - life is good.
