We are crazy busy around here trying to squeeze in every last bit of playing, swimming, and visiting before school begins next month.
But I did manage to finish my rusted root. It's blocking now and photos will be coming soon.
And I pieced a pillow for Abigail. Can you see the zigzag pattern? Ever since I made David's pillow she has been asking/begging for one. Remember these blocks? Well they have been waiting patiently for just the right project. Not only will Abigail have her own 'special' pillow, but I will get a bit of practice with free motion quilting before I begin on the log cabin quilt. I will be posting tips on free motion quilting - but nothing can replace practice and more practice.
I would have gotten lots more done if I didn't have to do this every two hours because my kiddos are hungry all day long. But I don't mind because summer is the ideal time to cook and eat lots of yummy, healthy food. There will be more than enough time for crafting once school begins.
Yesterday we had loads of fun at the Virginia Air and Space Museum. Thanks for the inspiration Heather.
Happy Friday!
the museum looks fun!! walking between skyscrapers? YIKES! :)
I keep reminding myself of the same thing..."there will be time to craft when they're in school. go play with them!"

I love the pillow case! Your space museum looks like it rocks! Ours is a pretty tiny section of the Nature museum. Hope you had tons of fun.
