Happy Valentine's weekend. We are celebrating big time around here - complete with steak and mushrooms ( my kids love mushrooms) and chocolate cake. I finally found time to take photos of my buttony sweater. So here goes... I mostly followed modifications (ravelry link) suggested by rapt with fiber. I like that the sweater is more fitted and has short sleeves.
Unfortunately, I did not read the mods carefully enough and I did not make any decreases on the back. This created a slight sag - not too bad, but I will definitely add these decreases if I knit this sweater again.
I did make four sets of side decreases, placed about 2 inches apart. And 2 sets of increases at the hips.
If you are wondering why the final button is left unbuttoned, it is because the sweater pulls - alot - with it buttoned. All this being said, I still like this sweater and I will wear it. It's warm, comfortable, and in a neutral color - plus the short sleeves make it very versatile.
Yarn: 4 skeins Cascade Yarns 109 LE color # 1208 tan
Needle: size US 10 1/2
Buttons: thrifted (the jacket they were on only cost me $3.95)
I'll close with some daisies because between the beige sweater and the beige woods outside this post could sure use a little color.
