No crafting, no sewing - just cleaning house, packing backpacks, and lots of cooking! (plus we've lost power twice in the last 24 hours which means no shower for me since we're on well water and need electricity to power the pump.)
Mom's in a fret.
But the corn was so sweet and yummy!
And Lisa sent me this wonderful surprise gift - a "Shine stone' - that I admired on her blog. Thank you so much friend. I've placed it where the whole family can see it as we're getting into the car and heading out to school - i intend to point it out each morning and remind my kiddos to shine! I LOVE my gift!
I did manage to run out of my stash yarn while knitting my scoop sweater - and I wasn't sure I wanted to order more yarn because the neckline remains questionable. So green it is!
And we so enjoyed our time at the beach! I could so use a getaway like this once a month.
On the way home we stopped at the Children's Museum, where David told Abigail that she needed to jump from the letter 'B' to the letter 'Y' in oder to spell Abby. Here she is trying to figure out how she's going to make that jump. Of course, the letter 'I' (to spell Abigail) is right below her!
Shadow, the kitty, says, "Mom will see you all back here on Tuesday, when the kiddos are in school. She'll probably still be in a fret, but at least she'll have a moment to herself!"
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend! and don't work too hard!
