Summer is in full swing around here. We are busy driving from swim team practice to taekwondo classes to the library for fun reads and back again - literally. That leaves very little time for crafty endeavors but I did manage to get this pillow top quilted.
I'm posting this today even though I did not have the time it takes to sew the six seams that would make it into an actual pillow sham that I could stuff with an actual pillow insert. But I figure it's summertime and the kiddos are home and my sewing space is super hot - so I can post in small increments. Just the little bit that was accomplished; and then the bits will come together and add up to a whole lot of completed projects. A girl can hope!
I'm not so sure that the stipple quilting works so well with the strong lines of the piecing but I like it. Maybe it's that the curvy lines of the quilting compliment the straight lines of the piecing - hmmm.
Here's a close up of the quilting:
Enjoy your weekend and give yourself permission to work in small increments. Completing an actual project this early into summer is so overrated!
